According to the transcript, Scott’s lawyer responded that the rapper is not required to produce those texts because the phone fell off a boat nearly two years ago and is at the bottom of the Gulf of Mexico. The judge appeared skeptical and told Scott’s attorney that she would not allow him to avoid answering questions by claiming that his phone went overboard.
